The Holiday Chalet B & B and Tea Room

The Beginning: The Holiday Chalet, originally built in 1896 for a prominent jeweler, is located in Denver's Historic Wyman District. Over the years, the hotel has been restored and is now a vision of its elegant Victorian brownstone beginnings. Crystal Sharp,
Proprietress, purchased the hotel in April of 2004 as the first owner not of the original family. She has made it her home and treats everyone who stays with her as part of the family, even cats and dogs of the guests who stay with her. Her beautiful black lab,
Clementine, greets guests at the door...but never enters the kitchen!

The AAA rated hotel is very conveniently located close to excellent shopping, touring, and abundant day and night life. High-speed wireless access is available in any room of the hotel. Guests, as well as outside guests, also enjoy a full breakfast from 7:30 to 10:00 AM, and can choose from a variety of delicious offerings, such as French Crepes, cowboy pancakes, crust-less quiche, French toast, Lox plate, fresh fruits, juice, tea, and great coffee.

Tea Room & Events: One of Crystal's favorite things to do is to create events. She has had her hand in everything from fundraisers (February 20th) to her Annual Chocolate lover's tea (March 20th) to raising money for the Denver Orphans League and even the EWI Denver Literacy and Philanthropy events -- The Masquerade Ball! The February 20th fund raiser benefits EWB (Engineers Without Borders http://www.ewb-usa.org) The tea room is open to the public as well as to our guests every day of the year! SheShe: Ever since she was 6 years old, Crystal has designed, decorated and sewed her own clothes. She is also the owner of SheShe boutique, previously located on Bayoud for 10 years before incorporating it in to the Holiday Chalet location. Crystal is such an amazing, talented designer of clothing, purses, scarves and jewelry. She's designed some of the most stunning wedding dresses you've ever seen as well as sleek,elegant eveningwear and funky hand painted jeans. Crystal: Crystal moved to Colorado from Connecticut in February of 1994 and never turned back. Colorado is the place for her with so much access to the playground we call the great outdoors. Crystal is a voracious fisher(wo)man who also loves to camp with Clementine, hike and is always up for something new. She also loves to travel and doesn't mind going alone! Her experience is that she meets the most interesting people ever when there are no concrete plans! Her favorite trip was to Moscow, Russia for 6 months. She enjoys interns from Moscow who come to learn about the hotel business from her and renew their visas over and over again during their breaks from school.
